Robots designed for the Packaging Industry

FROMM has partnered with ABB and Omron to provide add on solutions for materials handling via robot technology.

For our strapping systems, we are able to use robots from The ABB range to place bearers under the pack, on top of the pack and also for four sided protection.  Depending on the speed, distance, size of the bearer, the appropriate robot, be it IRB 460 or 660 is chosen.

The attachment can be custom applied to pick up the bearer, with end grippers, side grippers, suction systems or a combination of depending on the environment in question.

Further specialist collaborative robots can be integrated into a FROMM strapping and wrapping solutions, for the application of labels to the packs.

The ABB or Omron Robot solutions free up human capital to be deployed elsewhere within the customers' business and remove risk associated with lifting and also repetitive injury strains.
