Every year, Australian businesses import and export millions of containers of goods to countries all over the world. During transit, shipping containers are exposed to extreme temperature changes and humidity fluctuations, which can lead to moisture contamination and damage to cargo. This phenomenon is known as “container rain” or “cargo sweat,” and it costs Australian companies millions of dollars every year. To avoid this risk, FROMM Packaging provides a range of desiccant bags for Australian exporters and importers.
At FROMM Packaging, we understand the importance of protecting your cargo during transit. Our desiccant bags are made with high-quality materials and are designed to effectively absorb moisture from the air, keeping your cargo safe and dry.
FROMM MBD99 Shipping Container Desiccant Bags
The FROMM MBD99 Shipping Container Desiccant Bags are designed to protect moisture-sensitive products such as steel or aluminium, cardboard cartons, and palletised foods. These bags contain a powerful blend of calcium chloride and a gelling agent that effectively absorbs moisture from the air. The MBD99 bags can absorb up to 300% of their weight in moisture, making them highly effective in protecting your cargo.

Dry Cover & Dry Guard Desiccant Bags
Our new range of desiccant bags, Dry Cover and Dry Guard, are designed to maintain a controlled climate inside your shipping container. These bags have higher absorption capacities compared to MBD99 bags, making them suitable for transporting super sensitive cargo. Dry Cover and Dry Guard follow the theories of MBD.99, but they can absorb up to 500% of their weight in moisture.
Dry Cover is a self-adhesive, flexible desiccant bag that is easy to install inside a shipping container. It is suitable for small and medium-sized containers and has a capacity of up to 2.5 litres. Dry Guard, on the other hand, is designed for larger containers and has a capacity of up to 5 litres. It can be installed using hooks and straps that are attached to the container's walls.
Both Dry Cover and Dry Guard desiccant bags are made of a high-quality plastic material that ensures no leakage should saturation occur. They are also designed to be easily removed from the container after transit.
