POLYESTER (PET) STRAPPING
FROMM provides a variety of plastic strapping solutions, including both smooth and embossed options, with widths ranging from 9mm to 32mm. This range is designed to accommodate various applications and a wide array of strapping equipment. We can also customise the tension and stretch characteristics of our plastic straps to address specific packaging requirements, particularly in sectors like food and beverage, paper, and baling. Plus, our PET straps can be created in custom colours upon request to facilitate categorisation and colour-coding.
STEEL STRAPPING
In high-temperature environments and use cases that involve securing heavy bundles, such as steel, copper, or aluminium pipes and tubes, FROMM’s steel strapping solutions are a reliable and durable option. Our steel straps are made with over 70 years of expertise in manufacturing and in close collaboration with leading steel strap manufacturers globally.
POLYPROPYLENE (PP) STRAPPING
FROMM’s polypropylene (PP) strapping is a flexible and cost-effective option for lighter packaging applications that do not require as much structural rigidity. Common uses for PP strapping include bundling newspapers, box strapping within the food industry, and general warehouse utilisation. Because of its lightweight characteristics, it is ideal as a cost-saving option.
RECYCLE YOUR USED PET STRAP
By leasing or purchasing a FROMM strap chopper, our customers can process used strapping into recyclable pieces. These devices reduce the material from bulky hard to handle lengths into small pieces that fit into 500KG bulk bags.
In our programme, the bulk bags when full of clean, colour sorted, and uncontaminated chopped strap are sent to our facility for reprocessing where the material is granulated and processed into reusable resin. The recycled resin is used to manufacture all sorts of items, including "hand grade" PET strapping for other markets. Click here to view our strap recycling program.

Straps
Polyester (PET) strapping is lighter and more flexible compared to steel strapping. While PET strapping has a lower breaking strain than steel, it can handle up to 2.5 times its breaking strain in shock applications. Despite steel having a stronger tensile strength, this makes PET strapping suitable for most applications.
FROMM’s range of automatic plastic strapping machines can be easily integrated into your existing production and packing lines. If your processes already make use of automation, one of our PET strapping machines can help your business progress one step closer to a production line that does not depend on manual labour.
Polyester strapping is an environmentally friendly option, especially when paired with FROMM’s commitment to sustainability. Our PET strapping materials are made from polyester that uses up to 98 percent recycled materials. When you are finished with your plastic strapping, the material can be recycled once more to further your business’ sustainability practices.
